About Me

Michelle-ShariI am not sure what I have enjoyed more over these past 26 years since I first started practicing law: helping incredible young parents, grandparents and business owners with their estate planning documents or lecturing to a wonderful variety of groups including; Portland area hospitals, civic groups, religious organizations, parent support groups, financial advisors, investment firms, libraries and private schools. Both continue to make my career as an estate planning attorney so much more meaningful and connected.

Managing my own law practice has also allowed me to do something else that I love, being intimately involved with supporting charities that help children and animals. For years I have been fortunate to be included on the Boards or as an active member-at-large for local non-profits including; Make-A-Wish Foundation, Friends of Lake Oswego Library, Animal Aid of Oregon, OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry), The Oregon Zoo Foundation Board, Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, Tom Sargent Safety Center, Portland Public School District’s Talented and Gifted (TAG) Advisory Board, Portland City Club, CPPS (Community and Parents for Public School), Hands and Voices, Friends of Outdoor School and Lake Oswego Community Rowing.

I’ve authored two children’s books which are part of the curriculum for the hearing impaired community and am working on a third book about parenting issues in non-traditional family settings.

Past legal experience includes; rotations in audit, tax and consulting for Anderson Consulting and in the telecommunication, legislative and juvenile law sectors.

Steven, Tova, Noah and I all love to travel, hike, bike, play guitar, piano and ukulele, cook and spend time with friends and family.
